Define "Accountability"

Accountability means taking personal responsibility for successes and failures, and using those experiences as a learning opportunity to understand better what works.

All work should be meaningful, particularly schoolwork. Each assignment should be approached as an opportunity to learn - not just about the subject matter, but about the person doing the work. Which tools or techniques make sense and are suited to the task? How much time is required for each of the "doing" steps: thinking, planning, writing, drawing, building, practicing, and revising?

An accountable individual takes pride in their accomplishments, accepts their mistakes, and learns how to work more effectively or efficiently for the next time regardless of the outcome.
